Chapter 10

1. Why does the party go "on and on"?
2. What are the TWO reasons Angela is upset?
3. What is Sydelle trying to start conversations about? Why?

5. What does the word "paternal" mean?  Why is Judge Ford asking about it?
6. What does "abstention" mean"?  What page?  Why did Madame Hoo do it?

  5. #7. A coiffure is a hairstyle. Grace wanted Angela's "coiffure" changed because she thought her long hair wasn't proper for a young lady about to be married.

    1. I think the a reason she is doing that besides for Angela's wedding is to get Turtle upset so Turtle will want to have luxury and Grace will say only if you give me your clues.

  7. #3 Sydelle is trying to start conversations about twins and she is trying to figure out which one of the heirs is a twin because in the will it says Object of the game: to win and her and Angela think that it means twin. So at the party Angela and Sydelle plan to dress the same to see if someone at the party will mentioned twin but Grace Wexler won't let Angela do that so Sydelle try to bring up twin in the conversation.

  8. #6. the word "abstention" is on page 62 and it means to not vote in an election procedure. Madame Hoo did that because she didn't understand the question.

  9. #7 coiffure means a style of arranging or combing the hair page 61 grace wanted angela to change it because she didnt want angela looking like a freak in a checkered dress and awful accessories.

  10. #5. The word "paternal" means "appropriate to the father. It is found on page 58. The judge ment, If they were "paternal" to him, her maiden name would be westing.
